Lately Matt and I have been spending a ton of time at Jittery Joe's on the east side. We love going there and playing cards while having our daily coffee. In fact, it's become so customary for us to do so that we're beginning to develop relationships with the employees there. They know our names and always give us a hard time about something or another. And since we're quite the regulars now...they hook us up with large cups of ice water for free! It really pays to know people.
Anyways, probably our favorite Jittery Joe's employee is Pete. He's a real laid-back guy, that we often catch on his cigarette break, or macking on some college girl. Every once in a while, he'll even sit down with us and play a few hands of rummy. Though, on Tuesday, he didn't seem his normal happy-go-lucky self. So we bought him a latte and got into a very interesting political conversation. I know, ME, a political conversation!? But it really is awesome learning where people are coming from. So here's to Pete! Long-live-ya!

Hey!! Pete is Avery's favorite employee there too! I am thankful for Pete b/c he will usually entertain her long enough for me to at least have a few relaxing sips of hot coffee!!
YOu should come hear me sing there some time... I do a mean version of "down in fraggle rock"!
