I have a firm belief that mittens make everything better. I've felt this way since I was a child, when my mom sowed my first pair of mittens into my winter coat so I wouldn't lose them. And she was right, I DID NOT want to lose them! Here is a previous persuasion of me trying to get people on the mitten loving team.
Here is a picture of me with mittens. As you can see, I am very excited.
And here is a picture of Matt, mittenless. Point made. Wear mittens.

I am smitten with mittens, I totally believe in the mitten movement. As a matter of fact, Kate has always been crazy about mittens. She struggled a little in kindergarden with coloring because she refused to remove her mittens. The trend continued on into grade school with some very strange class activity creations brought home that were totally constructed while wearing mittens, we were so proud! I won't even mention the problems in high school faced because of her wearing mittens, although she did exceptionally well at varsity tennis considering she wore these big red mittens. It is a kind of family thing, her Mom has a similar thing for football helmits, she wears them whenever she gets the chance. So, I am sure it is genetic in some way or another. Anyway, power to the mittens and welcome to the revolution.
